Why we cite every number in the brief
An answer you can’t check is an answer you can’t repeat. How citations work, and why unverified claims are held back.

The first version of Halvio wrote lovely paragraphs. Nobody trusted them. A sentence like ‘repeat orders fell 6%’ is only useful if the person reading it can see where the 6% came from and repeat it in a meeting without a caveat.
How a citation works
Every number in a brief links to the rows, tickets or call moments it came from. Click it and you see the query, the time it ran and the source it read.
What happens when a claim can’t be cited
It is held back. The brief shows a ‘needs a look’ flag instead, with the two numbers that disagree, so a person can pick one. We would rather send a shorter brief than a wrong one.
